Cutting tiles and slabs

The main resource we process is marble, but we also offer granite, travertine, sandstone, limestone, and onyx. The company owns five gang saws, meaning that the company can process five blocks a day, since it takes about 8 hours to process 1 block into slabs or tiles. The gang saw has many diamond tip saws and is aided by pressurized water to obtain a clean cut. The slabs and tiles follow the standard dimensions indicated by the ASTM standard dimension stone regulations.
The tiles and slabs are then moved with a mechanical arm with suction cups, it places them on a conveyor belt that transports them through the drying machine.

Sealing

The slabs and tiles are then reinforced on their back by placing a mesh and sticking it with a chemical product, which is poured on them to fill up the pores, cracks, cavities, imperfections, etc. Then it is taken to the calibrator which wipes the surface clean with a special product to remove all residues and impurities. Then abrasive diamond tip discs cut it to millimetre precision. Then we check for moisture, if moist, we allow it to dry off before the sealer is applied. Once it is dry, the resin is poured over to fill up any remaining empty spaces, and it is left to dry again.

Surface Finish

When completely dry, the tiles and slabs are taken to the polisher. Our polishing line provides several types of finishes, we offer polished, honed (matt), bush hammered, brushed, tumbled (aged), flamed, and sand blasted, it is as simple as changing the abrasive disc. We of course also offer unfinished, or raw.
